You will bring a co-ordinated approach to our internal communications, finding new and innovative channels and strategies for communicating information about changes and decisions made at corporate level. Through this, you will focus on our Intranet offering – making sure that we make best use of it – and co-ordinate email messaging, newsletters and briefing sessions. You will also work with our Audio Visual Unit on our groundbreaking SPTV, contribute to induction courses and help with in-house seminars, focus groups and presentations. You must hold a Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Public Relations, Journalism or Communications. Proven experience in a communications environment is also essential – during which time you will have developed strong interpersonal, communication and creative skills. You will also need a background in developing internal communications strategies, sound journalistic skills and flexibility. This post is temporary for 12 months.

Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen or a foreign national free of restrictions. You should also have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application. In certain circumstances, it is possible for the minimum residency period for vetting to be waived. This can only be done where it is possible to make, or confirm, in the relevant jurisdictions with local Law Enforcement and National Security bodies, which are equivalent, and of a similar standard, to enquires which would be made in the UK, on both the applicant and all family members and associates. In cases where it is not possible to makes the equivalent checks, the residency criterion will be stringently enforced.
